Hailing from Minnneapolis, this trio has been at it since forming in 1997and it shows. Their sound recalls at times the indie jazz of Karate and Tortoise, the rhythmic interplay of Faraquet and Don Cabellero, and Shellac’s dissonance. In July 2006, drummer Brian Heitzman left the band and was replaced by Ben Johnston (Claire de Lune) joining founding members Conrad Mach (guitar/vocals) and Tom Berg (bass). The band has gone on to record 3 full-lengths' SELF-EVIDENT (2007) and endings (2009) We Built a Fortress on Short Notice (2012) an EP Billions (2008) and most recently an odds & ends collection entitled The Traveler (2015). The band continues to tour the country regularly and garner critical praise for their precise, mathmatical, and melodic approach to rock.
